The CH-1636 Adjusted from 16 inches to 36 inches, if you leave the 4 hitch pins in it will become a standoff that if you mount to the top rung great for when you are installing class “A” chimney. It allows you to straddle the chimney (if you are building at minimum clearances). No more reaching over with the pipe to connect it. and if your system uses connect bands. Last, if change the arms around it becomes a ladder stabilizer.
