What is a Chimney Hugger?
Chimney Hugger is a manufacturing company that manufactures 3 different size systems that attaches to your ladder much like a ladder stabilizer, to keep your ladder from sliding sideways when working on a chimney. It has adjustable arms to straddle the chimney. The 3 sizes are the CH-1636 can be adjusted from 16 inches to 3 feet, the CH-1654 range is from 16 inches to 4 1/2 feet and the CH-1672 range from 16 inches to 6 feet. Using the optional push screw method (mainly used with the CH-1636) allows you to adjust to any size. Will explain more about that in the Set-up section. These systems will keep your ladder from moving side to side due to shifting of body weight while working on the chimney and/or unexpected wind gusts. No more walking away from your ladder just to hear it blow over while talking to your customer. Our goal is to keep you safe at all times and to impress your customer. About the designer.
Designed by a National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certified technician. Certified in gas, wood and pellet and also was a certified chimney sweep. I worked in the chimney and hearth industry as an installer for over twenty years. In those years I have seen and have done a lot of crazy jobs that at the end of the day was glad to be back on the ground and in my truck heading home. In this industry you work outside in extreme weather conditions you’re the busiest in the winter months and for that sometimes, you have to come up with plan “B” on the fly. This system will give you a safer plan “B”. Its compact design allows you to keep it in your truck and/or van all the time, so you have it when you need it. It comes in a bag that measures 8x8x30 inches
